OUR 2023 SEASON
"Music inspires us, surrounds us, calms and rouses us. It is dynamic and joyous and our 2023 program has something for everyone.
In my tenth season with WASO as Principal Conductor I am thrilled to be performing some of my favourite works with our fantastic Orchestra. Of course, Wagner’s Die Walküre is a major highlight, and I cannot wait to bring Mahler’s Titan Symphony and Bruckner’s Romantic Symphony to the Perth Concert Hall stage.
I’m also looking forward to once again working with some of WASO’s talented musicians as they join me at the front of the stage as soloists in March, June and November.
I’m especially excited to be premiering another new work by WASO’s Composer in Residence Olivia Davies in August. To be able to highlight such a talented young composer is a pleasure and I cannot wait to see what Olivia brings to us next.
There is much to look forward to in our 2023 season, across Perth and the State as our Orchestra continues to colour our lives with music."

In 2023, all performances in WASO's Masters and Classics series will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm.
Morning Symphony performances will be performed on Thursdays at 11am.
