A grand symphony, Czech rhapsodies and a dazzling concerto.

Johannes Fritzsch, Principal Guest Conductor of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, makes a much-anticipated return to WASO with Mozart’s grand Haffner symphony. Then, Perth’s own ‘Rock Star of the Clarinet’ Ashley Smith unleashes his talent in Weber’s ever-popular concerto. The evocative symphonic paintings: Janaček’s Taras Bulba depicts the story of the ‘free man’ in an adventurous 19th century novel, and Smetana’s heartfelt ode to his beloved Czech homeland will have you humming as you leave.
