Mozart Meets Haydn

*view multiple performance dates above

Irresistible classics including Haydn’s famous Trumpet Concerto.

When The Clock Symphony was premiered in London in 1794, the enraptured audience demanded that the first two movements be encored. The press hailed “the sublime Haydn” and his new work, full of “heartfelt joy”. Directed by WASO's new concertmaster Laurence Jackson, WASO explores this and other masterworks from the Classical era, including Mozart’s Paris Symphony and Haydn’s popular Trumpet Concerto, featuring WASO’s Principal Trumpet Brent Grapes as soloist.
