Robert J McCaffrey artist/designer opens his solo exhibition “HOMMAGE” in October at Perth Concert Hall.

“HOMMAGE” consists of several major impassioned collections. This moving exhibition explores the enormity of the works created by multi-disciplined artists and professionals of the late 19^th and early 20^th centuries, and pays tribute to various confronting events and issues throughout modern history through a myriad of visual expressions.

Themes, subjects and topics span the wheatbelt landscapes on canvas, board and paper, architectural studies, interpretive tributes to the traditional, Japonism, human form, to flamenco, the indigenous and to the familial. Textile pieces are created using antique silks and recycled natural fibres.

The 2021 exhibition, “HOMMAGE”, is not a monothematic showcase, it is a culmination of works—a responsive, reactive and connective exhibition, symbiotic and illuminating. 

This exhibition is available to view on levels 2, 3 & 4 of Perth Concert Hall.
